Can you really lose weight with green tea?

My friend from Japan has shared with me her secret to keeping her weight and staying healthy. She said she is having at least one liter of green tea every day. I tried it. Right away. And I started having stomach problems. I would have stomach acid more frequently. I know each individual is unique and what can work for you might not work for me. So I just decided to stop with green tea. And my stomach upsets have since stopped. I found this video on youtube and I got curious once again.
