You know what, he can be true. As much as I do not like Mayweather, it is indeed quite obvious that Pacman has more reasons to lay low already.
Floyd Mayweather was hyping his Sept. 14 fight during a promotional stop recently in San Antonio, Texas, when somebody yelled from the crowd telling him to face Manny Pacquiao instead of Mexican upstart Saul Alvarez.
Mayweather didn't mince words and resumed his scathing remarks about the Filipino fighter.
"Pacquiao's a has-been," said Mayweather, his right hand raising to prove his point and apparently looking at the very outspoken guy in the throng who tried to mess up his prepared speech.
Somebody blurted a hearty laugh but it was quickly drowned by jeers and catcalls from obvious die-hard Pacquiao fans.
Mayweather got into it even more, adding that "his (Pacquiao's) career is over...his career is over."
Pacquiao's last fight was a sixth-round knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez and the eye-popping ending to that fight could have swayed Mayweather into believing that Pacquiao is already over the hill.
After giving everyone a piece of his mind, Mayweather carried on with his thing, drumbeating his scheduled 12-round duel with Alvarez in Las Vegas.
Despite efforts to pair them together in a super showdown, it remains uncertain if the two stars will ever fight each other.
While Mayweather is locked to fight Alvarez, Pacquiao is also on the same situation as he is scheduled to meet Brandon Rios on Nov. 24.
Pacquiao assures everyone that it is premature to count him out as he is looking forward to his much-awaited comeback at The Venetian in Macau.
